| MORNING CLASS SCHEDULE In-Hand Exhibition: This class is about learning the proper way to show in-hand. Everyone is welcome to join in , but we will have a number of pre-selected volunteers who will purposely demonstrate proper, and improper, technique. Who knows what we’re going to see?!? Egg & Spoon Class: How could we not do this one? Riders will have to follow simple directions riding their horse while balancing an egg on a spoon in one of their hands. Once your egg drops off the spoon, consider yourself “fried.” (Sorry, couldn't help it.) English Exhibition: Similar idea as In-Hand Class. Anyone can ride in this class, but there will be “ringers” in there purposely doing things correctly and incorrectly so that our “judge” can point out the good and the bad in order for us all to learn, and have fun. Flag & Barrel: Ride a pattern around a series of barrels, picking up a flag at one barrel and dropping it off at the next one, then ride your horse in and out of a “keyhole” Western Exhibition: Same as the English Exhibition Class except w/ western style of riding, we’ll still have our “ringers” in there though. Breeds Class: Come show off your pride & joy in this class. Entrants will show in-hand, and we ask that they bring an index card with information about their horse’s breed that can be read aloud while their horse is being presented. We don’t care if your horse isn’t a purebred, this is a FUN SHOW, and we just want to look at horses all day long so get on in here!! |
| AFTERNOON CLASS SCHEDULE Costume Class: How creative can you be? Dress yourself and your horse up in a costume and join in this unique, creative class. Fun to do, lots of fun to watch! Wendy Says: Try your hand at a game of Simon Says on horseback. Follow simple directions, as long as “Wendy Says”……. do something she doesn’t ask, and you’re out. In-Hand Versatility Challenge: Find out how good your horse is at handling a variety of obstacles & challenges. 8 horses can participate at a time, in-hand only. You will rotate through a series of challenges trying to get your horse to complete the specific task assigned to each station, you MUST move on to the next obstacle when the signal sounds. Ridden Versatility Challenge: Encounter some of the same obstacles the in-hand class offered, plus a few more, but this time you must navigate them while riding your horse. Some of the challenges will include: walking over a tarp, touching and/or allowing a BIG ball to be placed on their back, walking through spinning flowers and opening up and umbrella, backing up through an “L” ground rails, allowing a tarp to be put over their back, passing b/w 2 barrels, picking up mail, crossing a wooden bridge. Please note: you don’t have to do all of the challenges, just do what you’re comfortable with. It’s a great way to introduce your horse to some new things, and give you ideas to work on at home. |
